The F.P.A. has been informed that its member, AFP photographer Aris Messinis, and another two photographers were assaulted by members of a volunteer group while covering the refugee crisis on the island of Lesbos.
The F.P.A. condemns and deplores any use of violence to prevent journalists from carrying out their jobs, and awaits a full investigation of the incident.
